Parents’ everyday lives are increasingly shaped by new societal demands, a wide range of expectations and changing perceptions of family roles.

The conference “Parenting today: Appreciate, empower, protect” addresses key questions surrounding modern parenting: How can parents find stability amid the fast pace of everyday life, uncertainty and inherited parenting patterns? How can they provide their children with security and guidance without pressure or punishment, while also protecting their own well-being?

The presentation will explain why parents today face numerous pressures, how historical approaches to parenting continue to influence families and why appreciation and self-care are essential components of modern, non-violent and loving parenting.

Using practical examples from everyday life, the speakers will offer helpful guidance on setting boundaries safely and compassionately and creating a calmer family life.

The event is intended for parents, education professionals and anyone interested or working in child protection and family education.

The presentation will be delivered in German and simultaneously interpreted into French and English. Following the presentation and open question-and-answer session, participants will be invited to continue the conversation during a reception.
