Families at the heart of education

Families are at the heart of education—a message that resonated strongly during the European Parents Association event held at the French Senate in Paris on 24 April.

How can families receive better support in dealing with technology and screen use? Are children today missing out on valuable family experiences and connections? How can we help parents become more aware of the essential role they play and the influence they have on their children’s development?

These questions and many other topics were explored through inspiring discussions with experts such as Marc West from UNESCO and Dr Renate Heinisch, particularly in relation to intergenerational learning.

We are proud that Eltereforum was highlighted as an example of good practice at this event and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the discussion on strengthening families and education across Europe.
